ANKARA
Justice and Development (AK) Party's Vice Chairman Omer Celik has called on the international community to take immediate action on Syria.
In a statement released on Sunday, Celik stated that United Nations should swiftly fulfill its obligations.
"Those who were silent to despotism in Syria due to his political or economical interest should take more responsibility to stop mass murder by Al-Assad administration. AK Party calls on the international community to urge immediate action on Syria. United Nations should swiftly fulfill its duties. Waiting more for an action will allow new mass killings. The world has already experienced that Al-Assad regime would not give up murdering its own people, including children and women," stated Celik.
If the global powers do not respond quickly, after several years we would do memorial services for the people massacred in Syria, Celik also stated.
