Ian Rivers from the NBC crew in Syria, was released a day after his four other colleagues escaped from a five-day captivity in the hands of pro-Assad forces, a Turkish diplomat said on the condition of anonymity.
Rivers crossed into Turkey unharmed.
He was said to have been unaccounted for following the escape of Richard Engel and his crew members producer Ghazi Balkiz, photographer John Kooistra, and Aziz Akyavas, who all entered Turkey safely on Tuesday.
