BURSA
Antakya Chorus of Civilizations, composed of the representatives of three monotheistic religions Islam, Christianity and Judaism, will perform in Turkey's western province Bursa on February 23.
Representatives of three monotheistic faiths in Bursa, deputy mufti Lutfi Akay, head of Turkish Jewish Community Leon Elnekave and pastor of Protestant church Ismail Kulakcioglu gathered ahead of a concert and gave peace messages.
The Antakya Chorus of Civilizations is a choir formed in 2007 with the aim of spreading a message of peace in a demonstration of unity between Islam, Christianity and Judaism.
The musical ensemble, which currently has 120 members was nominated for the 2012 Nobel Peace Prize and performed in cities across Turkey as well as in New York and various European cities. They sing in Turkish, Armenian, Arabic, Hebrew, Latin and Italian. They want people to see that it was a diverse and mixed group that has come together and united in peace and harmony.
