ANTALYA
Turkish Airlines Open 2013 Golf Tournament will be held in Belek town of southern Antalya province between November 7 and 10.
The $7 million award-winning tournament will feature 78 golfers including world-famous Tiger Woods.
Chairman of Antalya Golf and Sports Society (AGISK), Cahit Sahin said in a written statement that "This is the first time such a tournament is being organized in Turkey. 5,000-7,000 golf enthusiasts from Europe will be visiting Belek to watch the tournament, which will be the 1st formal tournament included in the European golf tournament list."
"Hotels in the area will be full during this time. So the tournament is important in this regard as well. A total of 7 million USD will be awarded to winners, and we will have the chance to welcome the world's best golfers to Belek," he said.
