Syrian President Bashar al-Assad said that Syria had the capability to confront any attack.
Assad commented on Israel's hitting some targets in Syrian lands, and said that the strike showed the part of Israel in the efforts to weaken and destabilize Syria.
Assad said Syria was capable of facing current challenges and could confront any attack that would target the Syrian people.
The Syrian administration said on Wednesday that Israeli war jets bombed a military research center in Damascus killing two people and wounding five others. Assad administration has been keeping its silence since the attack.
