ANKARA
Turkish General Staff said Thursday soldiers fired back at the attackers who fired randomly and indiscriminately at the border guards preventing diesel oil smuggling along the Syria border.
Attackers ran away towards Syria leaving no one wounded, said General Staff statement.
Some cans of diesel oil were found in the responsibility zone of 2nd Border Regimental Command Kiyigoren Border Police Department in Narlica of Turkey's southern province of Hatay.
When the officials loaded the cans onto the vehicles, fire was opened randomly and indiscriminately at the border guards.
