Turkish Minister of EU Affairs and Chief Negotiator Egemen Bagis on Sunday said, "Much different, brighter and hope-filled days await Turkey with the solution process."
Bagis evaluated the solution process and the incidents at Gezi Park in Istanbul.
Stating that the solution process found its meaning in the constitution, Bagis said, "Summarizing the solution process in one sentence, it is the implementation of the principle that all citizens of the Republic of Turkey are equal as our constitution suggests."
"The solution process is the equalization of various people aggrieved at different times in Turkey," Bagis added.
Also touching on the recent incidents at Gezi Park in Istanbul, Bagis said, it would be naive to link the recent incidents to the trees. "It should be known that none of us are that naive. Unfortunately Turkey's main opposition party is also in this game."
Stating that he respected the demonstrators who attended the protests consciously and they liked all citizens regardless of their political ideology, Bagis said, "We have been living together on this land for over a thousand years. No one will have a problem with the other's life style, belief or mother tongue."
