Clash with terrorists injures 3 soldiers in E. Turkey

TUNCELI, Turkey

Three Turkish soldiers have been injured in a clash with terrorists in eastern Turkey, according to a security source.

The gendarmerie forces in eastern Tunceli province clashed with a group of terrorist in rural areas, said a security source, who asked not to be named due to restrictions on speaking to the media.

The injured soldiers -- who did not sustained life threatening wounds -- were transferred to an Elazig hospital, also in eastern Turkey, via military helicopters, the source added.

The air-backed operation is underway to neutralize the terrorists.
