DIYARBAKIR
Turkish gendarmerie seized 269 kilograms 475 grams of hashish and 18,210 packets of smuggled cigarettes in the southeastern city of Diyarbakir between the dates of January 17 and 21.
According to a statement released from Diyarbakir Governor's Office that in several searches in the neighbourhoods of Al and Yukarinasirlar and in the villages of Cakmak, Yolboyu, Yukariturali and Asagiturali, the illegal substance and smuggled cigarettes were found in searched houses, 7 coaches, one train and a courier company.
Related to the incident, 6 people were arrested.
