ANKARA
"AA Finance News Desk is such complement project for Turkey's 2023 vision plans", Turkish Finance Minister Mehmet Simsek said on Monday.
Minister Simsek attended the daily agenda meeting at AA Editor's Desk in Ankara and held the launching of the "AA Finance News Desk".
Mehmet Simsek stated that Turkey had a powerful story to be reported and it was important that the Anadolu Agency reported it first hand.
He stressed that the finance sector and it's industry carries such importance.
Simsek highlighted that the transition and the flow of information within the finance industry was important.
Finance Minister Simsek said that reporting carried such importance within the process of the mid and long term analyses being shaped.
Simsek underlined that Turkey went through energetic changes which erased the low performance in Turkey.
Finance Minister Simsek stated that AA's projects helped developing Turkey. He said that reporting the changes in fresh Turkey, reporting Turkey's political and economic influences in its region and in the international arena was important.
"One of our important projects is turning Istanbul into a finance centre. We made changes for it and the Istanbul metropolitan municipality takes big steps in order to quicken this project," Simsek said.
Finance Minister Simsek: "In 2012, the growth is expected to be 4 percent by the Turkish government"
Turkish Minister of Finance Mehmet Simsek stated that the 3.2 percent of Turkish growth rate is a pleasing figure at the present global conditions.
He said, "Large part of Turkey's growth comes from the net exports. This was not surprising for us, it was foreseen beforehand".
He highlighted that Turkey performed a strong growing process during the year of 2010 and the first half of 2011. He stressed that the actual growth was provided from domestic demand.
Speaking at the AA Editor's Desk, Minister Simsek said, "The growth at the first half of 2012 was supported by the net exports."
"As Turkish government, we are expecting the growth rate to be around 4 percent," Simsek also said.
Future of Arab Spring countries bright if reforms get made, says FinMin Simsek
Turkish Finance Minister Mehmet Simsek on Monday said that the countries who went through the Arab Spring had important resources and young populations.
Speaking at the Anadolu Agency's (AA) Editor's Desk in Ankara, Simsek said that the future of Arab Spring countries was bright if the necessary reforms were made.
Those investing in the Arab Spring countries will earn a lot. As Turkey, we will provide the required support, Simsek stated.
The Arab Spring process will benefit Turkey and the whole world in the long run, Simsek underlined.
We do hope that the process brings more prosperity, tranquility, peace and more social justice to our Arab brothers and sisters, Simsek also said.
