ANKARA (AA) - The Turkish Foreign Ministry on Tuesday condemned last Saturday's terrorist attack in Nigeria's north-eastern state of Yobe.
A written statement by the ministry said that the terrorist attack on a school, which killed nearly 40 students was recognized with "great sorrow".
"Turkey condemns all terrorist attacks in Nigeria which are aimed at disturbing peace, security and stability in the country. We express our friendship and solidarity with the Nigerian government."

Levent Gumrukcu, spokesperson of the Turkish Foreign Ministry, on Tuesday said the investigation in relation to a foreign-flagged freighter stopped in Yemen was carried out by Yemeni authorities and the situation of the Turkish crew was followed via the Turkish Embassy in Sana'a.
Stating that a freighter named "Svetla" sailing in Yemeni waters was taken to Hudaida port by Yemeni coast guards with the suspicion of conducting illegal arms trade on July 6, Gumrukcu said,
"The blank cartridge guns found in the freighter which were planned to be smuggled into the country, were confiscated and the crew including Turkish citizens were detained. The investigation of Yemeni authorities continues and the situation of the Turkish crew is followed via the Turkish Embassy in Sana'a.
"All means of cooperation will take place with Yemeni officials for the issue to be investigated in all aspects," he said.
