A funeral ceremony will take place at the Seventh Main Jet Base in south-eastern province of Malatya on Friday for two Turkish pilots who were killed when their jet was downed by Syria on June 22.
In a written statement released Thursday, the Turkish General Staff said that the funeral ceremony would begin at 11.00 hours.
Turkish Parliament Speaker Cemil Cicek and Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan will also attend the funeral ceremony in Malatya.
Following the funeral ceremony at the base, Captain Gokhan Ertan will be laid to rest in the Malatya Martyrs' Cemetery while Lieutenant Hasan Huseyin Aksoy would be laid to rest in the Istanbul Edirnekapi Martyrs' Cemetery.
