(AA) - Turkish President Abdullah Gul, regarding the recent massacre in Egypt, said that Turkey's warnings should be received as help of a friend and not as poking up the internal affairs.
Speaking in 3rd summit meeting of the Cooperation Council of Turkic Speaking States in Azerbaijan's Qebele city, Gul expressed that he openly felt sorrow for each dead Egyptian. He added that they considered on what should be done to avoid the bad course of events.
Everybody wanted Egypt to come out of the chaos, Gul stated, adding that "Turkey's warnings should be received as help of a friend and not as poking up the internal affairs" over the claims that Turkey intervenes in the internal affairs of Egypt.
"Besides analyzing the case and expressing the feelings, there is a third point to say, which is how the country should come out of the incidents? In such a chaos environment, there is a knocked out cold condition in Egypt. It's important to pull Egypt from that position. In this respect, we and the international community should help the country," Gul said.
"The main task belongs to the Egyptians. They need to pull Egypt out of it with common sense. Otherwise, the most significant country of Middle East gets consumed with its people and its army."
Early on Wednesday, security forces had moved in to disperse pro-Morsi demonstrators in Cairo's Rabaa al-Adawiya Square and Giza's Nahda Square.
Thousands were injured during the violent dispersal of the two pro-Morsi sit-ins.
The move has sparked angry protests in provinces across the country, with deadly clashes being reported in several areas.
