ANKARA
Turkish Minister of Culture and Tourism, Omer Celik said that "when Izmir receives the right to host the EXPO 2020, the history of EXPO would be rewritten."
Minister Celik attended a dinner hosted by the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB) in honor of a delegation from the International Bureau of Exhibitions at the TOBB Twin Towers in Ankara.
Speaking at the dinner, Celik underlined that Izmir was one of the world's first psychotherapy centers.
New ways for health will go through Izmir, Celik stressed.
"Izmir is an historic city with health centers and temples. The history of the EXPO would be rewritten when Izmir hosts the EXPO 2020. We want to host the EXPO in Izmir," Celik also said.
