KONYA
Turkish Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu said on Tuesday, "When a bomb explodes in Kirkuk we go into action immediately and send air ambulances."
Speaking at an inauguration ceremony for 14 newly bought ambulances and 38 new police cars in Konya, Davutoglu said, "Three days ago, we were visiting a hospital in Ankara with the former Libya President Mustafa Abdul Jalil and we felt proud to see their gratitude and appreciation over the medical treatment of wounded people who were brought from Iraq, Syria and Palestine. How these patients get here? Well, when a bomb explodes in Kirkuk, we get into action immediately and send air ambulances. All the state mechanisms go into action and bring our friends to Turkey. A few months ago, a member of TIKA (Turkish International Cooperation Agency) was exposed to an attack in Somalia and be sure of that in a couple of hours, all state mechanisms were in action. I was abroad but had a chat with our health minister and Mogadishu ambassador. That citizen was brought to Turkey via an air ambulance."
