Turkish Economy Minister Zafer Caglayan said on Sunday that Iraq was one of the most important markets in Turkey's exports.
According to the figures by the Turkish statistical authority, Turkey's exports to Iraq rose by 35 percent to 6.8 billion U.S. dollars year-on-year between January and August 2012, he said.
"We expect Turkey's exports to Iraq to exceed 11.5 billion U.S. dollars at the end of 2012 and Iraq to be the second most important export partner of Turkey," he said.
