Turkey's President Abdullah Gul has stated that he believed, with their implementations, countries in Eurasia would play an important role on shaping up the new global structure.
Gul sent a message to 16th Eurasia Economic Summit in Istanbul on Wednesday and noted in his message that the summit which would discuss the new global structures, cover the topics of women's role in development and assess the economy, politics, energy, health, education and culture fields of the Eurasia region would form a study towards regional and international cooperation opportunities.
The Turkish president drew attentions to the position of the Eurasia geography and stated the importance of the region's future role could not be denied where the power balance shifted from the West to the East and from the North to the South.
