issues message of condolence to Turkey
SARAJEVO (AA) - September 6, 2012 - The Bosniak member of the three-man Presidency of Bosnia-Herzegovina, Bakir Izetbegovic issued a message of condolence to Turkey after 25 Turkish troops were killed in a blast at a
military ammunition depot in the western province of Afyonkarahisar on Wednesday night.
In a written statement released Thursday, the Bosnian Presidency said that Izetbegovic sent the message to Turkish President Abdullah Gul.
"We were deeply saddened to learn about the demise of 25 Turkish troops. I would like to offer our condolences to our Turkish brothers and sisters over the incident. I wish God's mercy to those killed and wish speedy recovery to those wounded," Izetbegovic said in his message.
Four other soldiers were lightly wounded in the explosion at a section of the depot where hand grenades were kept.
