Lebanese politicians welcomed Anadolu Agency's opening an office in Beirut.
Jamaat-e-Islami Party's deputy Imad Havt told AA that the opening of the office was strengthening the ties between Turkish and Lebanese people.
It is a positive development which will transmit news between the two societies rapidly, he said.
Wishing success to AA, Havt expressed hope that AA would be one of the international news agencies in near future.
Dory Chamoun, a deputy of March 14 Alliance, said that the opening of the office was a right step which was taken for news feed in a correct and reliable way between Turkey and Lebanon.
Noting that AA acted with principle of objectivity, Chamoun wished success to AA.
Assem Qanso, a deputy of March 8 Alliance, said that the office should stay in an equal distance to all groups in Lebanon, and expressed belief that AA would be successful in the Middle East.
The office was opened on January 22.
