An elderly Turkish man who was wounded in a rocket attack on the southern border province of Kilis died Friday, a medical source said.
Abbas Celik, 74, was among 12 people injured when three rockets fired from Daesh-controlled territory in Syria on April 11 landed in a residential area.
According to the source, who spoke on condition of anonymity because of restrictions on talking to the media, said his body had been transferred from Kilis State Hospital to Gaziantep Forensic Medicine Institution to determine the cause of death.
Kilis, which lies 6 kilometers (4 miles) from Syrian border, has been hit by a number of rockets fired from Syria in recent months. Four people were killed in January and March when rockets fired from the Bab region of Syria hit a school and a residential area.
On Monday, four rockets fired across the border from Syria killed five people and injured six in the city.
