ISTANBUL
Several airlines on Friday canceled more than 150 flights due to poor weather conditions predicted in the Istanbul area.
In a statement on Turkish Airlines' website, the national flag carrier said that 41 domestic and international flights would be canceled from Istanbul’s Ataturk and Sabiha Gokcen airports on Friday and 90 flights would be canceled on Saturday due to potential heavy snowfalls.
Onur Air announced that it has canceled six domestic and international flights for Friday and four flights for Saturday.
Atlas Jet also said in a statement that it has canceled seven flights, both on Friday and Saturday.
