MUGLA
Turkey's most popular holiday destinations in the South Aegean were decorated with 91 Blue Flags by the International Foundation for Environmental Education (FEE).
Across Turkey, 383 beaches and 21 marinas were awarded with the international Blue Flag status in the scope of "Blue Flag 2013" working program ran by FEE in association with Environment Education Foundation of Turkey (TURCEV).
Turkey's southwestern province of Mugla was ranked on top of the blue-flagged beached list with 84 beaches and 7 marinas. Mugla includes the famous tourist resort towns of Bodrum, Marmaris and Fethiye in its borders.
Beaches and marinas in Bodrum and Marmaris were decorated with the highest number of Blue Flags. Each year, more than 3 million tourists prefer to spend their holiday time in beaches of Bodrum and Marmaris.
