COX'S BAZAR
An Anadolu Agency correspondent and a cameraman have been awarded by a charity organization in Myanmar's Arakan region for their coverage of the humanitarian tragedy of Rohingya's Muslims.
Rakhine Friendship and Aid Foundation presented journalist Dilek Mermer with a medal "as the first war journalist to enter Arakan" and cameraman Vural Elibol with a plaque for their efforts and courage.
"I hope AA team's work here would set an example for the world media," said Muhammad Ayyub Reyhan, the charity's chairman.
