NEW JERSEY (AA) - March 27, 2013 - US New York state assembly acknowledged Khojaly massacre by issuing a commemorative resolution on Azerbaijani massacre.
The efforts of Pax Turcica led New Jersey assembly acknowledged that armed Armenians committed a massacre on Azerbaijanis in 1918 and decided March 31 would be the "commemorating Azerbaijanis" day in statewide.
The resolution that was presented to Tomris Azeri, head of the US Azerbaijan Association, said the massacre was one of the savageries in history that should be condemned in the strongest way.
New York state was the first US state to issue a commemorative resolution on Khojaly massacre in 2012.
