CAIRO (AA) - September 18, 2012 - Egyptian Foreign Minister Mohamed Kamel Amr has said that the second gathering of the quartet summit on Syria would be held in New York on September 24.
Following a meeting in Cairo attended by foreign ministers of Turkey, Iran and Egypt, Amr said that the next quartet summit to be attended by foreign ministers of Turkey, Egypt, Iran and Saudi Arabia would take place in New York on September 24 after the UN General Assembly session.
Amr said that Saudi Arabia's Foreign Minister Prince Saud al-Faisal could not participate in the meeting in Cairo on Monday as he had a program scheduled earlier.
