HAKKARI (AA) - August 5, 2012 - The Governorship of the south-eastern province of Hakkari on Sunday said that the number of PKK terrorists killed in clashes between Turkish security forces and the terrorists rose to 14.
In a written statement released on Sunday, the Hakkari Governorship reminded that PKK terrorists staged an attack on several base regions and the Gecimli Military Outpost on late Saturday, August 4.
"12 terrorists were killed on late Saturday. 2 others were also killed in pursuing operations, bringing the number of terrorists killed to 14. Turkish security forces found 11 kalashnikov rifles and 1 RPG7 rocket launcher near the terrorists," the Governorship also said.
6 Turkish troops and 2 village guards were killed late on Saturday in south-eastern province of Hakkari in a clash between Turkish security forces and PKK terrorists.
15 troops, 1 village guard and 5 civilians were injured in the same clash.
