SIRNAK (AA) - September 3, 2012 - A wounded Turkish troop died at a hospital on Monday after a string of simultaneous terrorist attacks on military checkpoints in southeastern Turkey late on Sunday, bringing the total number of troop casualties to ten, officials said.
Sirnak Governor Vahdettin Ozkan has said many terrorists had also been killed ensuing clashes after the attacks in the Beytussebap town of Sirnak province.
Seven troops were wounded, three of them were in critical condition.
Ozkan said an extensive military offensive had been launched in the region.
