Rohingya orphans who live in the orphanage built by the Foundation for Human Rights and Freedoms and Humanitarian Relief (IHH), a Turkish NGO, have welcomed Turkish delegation throwing flowers.
Ruling Justice & Development (AK) Party Duzce MP Ibrahim Korkmaz visited the orphanage in Bangladesh with Huseyin Oruc, Deputy President of IHH, on Thursday.
Korkmaz and Oruc talked to the 48 orphans who lost their parents in acts of violence targeting the Rohingya Muslims living in Arakan (Rakhine) state of Myanmar.
Oruc told AA correspondent that children were in a better condition in comparison to average life standards in Bangladesh and attending English, Bengali, math, Qoran and hadith classes.
"Orphans are not only given shelter but also being raised with morals," said Oruc, and added that they hope those children would build bridges between Turkey and Arakan and Turkey and Bangladesh.
Oruc said that the construction of three mosques and a school by IHH in Bangladesh has been continuing and a second orphanage would be built soon.
Turkish NGOs continue extending helping hand to the Rohingya Muslims who escape to Bangladesh after being exposed to violence in the Arakan region of Myanmar.
