Russian President Vladimir Putin said Russia would continue to be the strategic partner of Turkey.
Putin and Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan held a press conference after holding a meeting in Moscow.
Putin said that Turkey always was of great importance for Russia.
In regard to Syria, Putin said that they were glad that Turkey supported Geneva process.

Erdogan said Turkey and Russia did not have any disagreement regarding stability of Syria
Turkey and Russia did not have any disagreement regarding stability of Syria and stability of the region, he said, adding that the two countries were against division of Syria.
Replying to a question whether Russia shared any documents on downed Turkish jet, Erdogan said that no document has been shared, stating that the exchange of information between the two countries was limited to a phone call he and Putin had soon after the incident.
Answering a question, Erdogan said that there was a regime in Syria that killed its own people, stating that 18,000 people were killed in Syria.
Premier Erdogan said that Syrian people must decide on the future of the country.
Turkey hoped that massacres in Syria would end and tranquility would be secured with the will of Syrian people, he added.
