Six PKK terrorists were killed in Turkey’s southeastern provinces of Diyarbakir and Sirnak.
The Turkish General Staff said Sunday three PKK terrorists were killed in Diyarbakir’s Sur district while 16 handmade explosives were defused.
Three PKK militants were also killed in Sirnak’s Idil district.
Numerous weapons were also seized during the operations.
The southeast has been the scene of a significant military operation since December.
The PKK – considered to be a terrorist organization by Turkey, the U.S. and the EU – resumed its 30-year armed campaign against the Turkish state in late July 2015.
Since then, more than 280 members of the security forces have been martyred and thousands of PKK terrorists killed in operations across Turkey and northern Iraq.
