ANKARA
Slovenian President Borut Pahor will be paying a visit to Turkey between January 14-16 upon the invitation of Turkish President Abdullah Gul.
A related statement released by the Press Office of the Turkish President said the visit would be the sixth reciprocal visit at presidential level betwen the two countries since 2009, as a return visit for Abdullah Gul's July 14-15 visit to Slovenia.
After holding official talks in Turkish capital Ankara, the guest President will address the 6th Ambassadors' Conference on January 15, and attend the Slovenia Investment Summit in Istanbul that will gather Turkish and Slovenian businessmen on January 16.
The upcoming visit of the Slovenian President is expected to provide an opportunity for the both countries to discuss regional and international issues after the handling of Turkey-Slovenia relations in all aspects, described as a strategical partnership since 2011, and to contribute to further strengthen the existing cooperation with the friendly country.
