ISTANBUL
Turkish Deputy Premier Ali Babacan said on Wednesday that sound decisions were taken in the EU lately, a financial agreement has been made and a security wall has been created.
"European Central Bank has taken good steps. However all the works and steps have been overshadowed by some political statements in the EU," he said at the opening of the Energy and Economic Summit organized by the Atlantic Council.
He said that economic crisis which started in 2008-2009 has not ended yet.
Babacan reminded that there were new economic programs being implemented in Portugal, Ireland and Greece.
He said that Spanish and Italian governments took beneficial steps lately.
