English teacher Salah Ibrahim, who took refugee in Turkey prior to the Syrian army's crackdown, dedicated himself to the education of the children of Syrian families living in the tent cities in southeastern Turkey.
Teaching as an English teacher in a school in Aleppo prior to the clashes in Syria, Ibrahim left his country to come to Turkey due to domestic disturbance.
Ibrahim said he was teaching English to the children of the refugee families for two months and at the same time he was trying to learn Turkish himself.
Hoping the incidents in his country to end soon, Ibrahim said, "I want to return to Syria and prepare my students for life. I'm struggling to teach something to these children. Teaching is the meaning of life for me."
