At least 30 people were killed in Maarat al-Numaan town of Idlib city in Syria when fighter jets loyal to the Assad regime dropped "barrel bombs" on residential areas.
Speaking to the Anadolu Agency (AA), Abu Bera of the Syrian General Revolutionary Council said that many homes in Maarat al-Numaan were demolished after Syrian fighter jets dropped "barrel bombs"
"We have recovered the bodies of 30 people, most of whom were women, children and the elderly, under the rubble," Abu Bera indicated.
"We fear that the death toll may increase in the town," Abu Bera also said.
Turkish Ambassador meets senior Russian diplomat
On the other hand, Turkish Ambassador in Moscow Aydin Adnan Sezgin met with Russian Deputy Foreign Minister and Russian President Vladimir Putin's Special Envoy on the Middle East, Mikhail Bogdanov.
Diplomatic sources told the AA that Sezgin and Bogdanov discussed the Syrian crisis and regional issues.
