The language spoken is that of peace

ANKARA (AA) - March 21, 2013 - Turkish Minister of Interior Affairs Muammer Guler on Thursday said, "The language spoken is that of peace. We should see the implementation," in regards to the call of the jailed head of terrorist PKK to lay down weapons.

Guler answered the questions of journalists in Ankara.
Upon being asked of how he evaluated the call of the jailed head of PKK Abdullah Ocalan to lay down weapons at Nowruz celebrations, Guler said, "The language spoken is that of peace. We should see the implementation. We will of course follow the developments."
Guler also added that the judicial authorities would take care of situations in which posters of Ocalan were displayed.

Turkish interior minister condemns absence of Turkish flag
Muammer Guler on Wednesday condemned vehemently the absence of Turkish flag at the Nowruz celebrations

Speaking on behalf of the Turkish government at the parliament, Guler celebrated Nowruz.
Guler emphasized that Nowruz was celebrated as it marked the first day of spring and was a symbol of prosperity in a wide region from the Middle East to the Balkans and said, "Nowruz is one of our most important mutual cultural values passed down from generations to generations and celebrated for thousands of years as a nation. Today it is our common will that we celebrate Nowruz peacefully and in joy like a festival by leaving aside the language of violence and hatred and praising the global language of peace and friendship. Nowruz was celebrated in 46 provinces where 190 activities and protests were carried out since March 13. Security forces have worked intensely and avoided acts of violence between March 9 and 20."
Upon being reminded of the statements of MPs from the Nationalist Movement Party (MHP) as to the absence of Turkish flags in Diyarbakir, the center of Nowruz celebrations, Guler said, "The Nowruz celebrations in Diyarbakir were organized by a planning committee of seven people. I condemn vehemently the absence of Turkish flag there. It is a big deficiency not to have a Turkish flag."
"Whatever process there shall be on the agenda, fight against terrorism will continue uninterrupted. Our understanding of the resolution process is not meeting the conditioned needs of some, but rather establishing an environment of peace and security, embracing everyone in national unity," Guler added.
