ANKARA
Flags in the garden and in front of the US Embassy in Ankara are at half-mast following Friday's suicide blast which killed one as well as the suicide bomber.
A suicide blast oat a checkpoint outside the US Embassy compound killed the bomber and a security guard, while wounding a Turkish journalist. Speaking in televised interview, Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan said DHKP-C, an outlawed leftist group in Turkey, was responsible for the attack.
Meanwhile, tight security measures were taken in the district. People in the neighborhood are escorted by police officers while entering and leaving their houses.
Ankara municipality teams are cleaning the region.
