Tunisia president warned Wednesday there were still groups in his country who miss "the dictatorship", ruling out any possibility of going back to pre-revolution political conditions.
Moncef Marzouki delivered a speech in a speech on “Challenges of Democratic Transition: Tunisian Experience" at the Ankara-based think-tank International Strategic Research Organization (USAK).
Marzouki said that the Arab Spring have left a mark on the 21st century and added that "wave of change" would continue. "Perhaps, it will take decades for Tunisia to become a country where everything goes right."
Marzouki expressed hope that elections in Tunisia would take place as soon as possible, saying "the most important thing in a democracy are elections. We cannot hinder the elections, and if we do, we move away from democracy".
