The Vietnamese Embassy in Ankara hosted a reception on Monday to mark the 67th anniversary of the Independence Day of Vietnam Socialist Republic. The reception was attended by Bulent Arinc, diplomats in Ankara and other dignitaries.
Speaking at the reception, Arinc congratulated Vietnam for celebrating the 67th anniversary of their Independence Day.
"Diplomatic relations between Turkey and Vietnam were established 34 years ago. Today, the trade volume between our two countries stands at almost one billion USD. There is a potential to increase this figure," Arinc stressed.
Vietnamese Ambassador in Ankara, Nguyen The Cuong thanked all the guests at the reception and underlined that Turkey and Vietnam were two countries with no political problems with each other.
"Turkey is Vietnam's most important trade partner in western Asia. We wish to further promote our economic and political relations with Turkey," Cuong also said.
