Turkey, hosting the 17th Mediterranean Games, won Friday its 300th gold medal in its Games history.
Turkish athletes collected 263 gold, 171 silver and 203 bronze medals in previous editions of the games, and on Friday the country clinched its 37th gold medal in beach volley to increase the aggregate to 300.
Turkish athletes won a total of 100 medals with 37 gold, 35 silver and 28 bronze during the 17th MedGames so far.
