IZMIR
Bodies of Monday's tugboat accident victims have been taken to a military hospital in Izmir as their families and friends shed tears of grief and sorrow.
Ambulances drove through the gates of the hospital, carrying the bodies of eight soldiers and two workers.
Ten people had died and 17 others had been wounded after a tugboat keeled to its side on the shores of Turkish western province of Izmir on Monday.
The "TCG Degirmendere" tugboat capsized as it was being put back to sea after undergoing maintenance.
A military funeral will take place at the Alabey military shipbuilding yard on Tuesday afternoon.
Meanwhile, victims have been identified as Supply Sergeant Veysel Gundogdu, Marine Corps privates Yavuz Arslan, Suleyman Mert Pasali, Fehmi Kocaman, Alican Bulbul, Semih Sozen, Serdar Bologlu and Ridvan Copcu, and workers Cafer Kirbas and Ercan Bicer.
