ANKARA
Turkey will participate in Saturday's meeting in Geneva of a new Contact Group on Syria.
Sources told Thursday that Turkish Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu would represent Turkey at the Geneva meeting to be held at the level of foreign ministers.
In a written statement released, the joint UN and Arab League Envoy on Syria, Kofi Annan, had said that five permanent members of the UN Security Council, Turkey, Qatar and Iraq were invited to the Geneva meeting.
