ANKARA (AA) - April 12, 2013 - Turkey's Deputy Prime Minister Ali Babacan has said Turkey from now on was a rising donor and granted 2.5 billion USD in 2012 to foreign receivers.
Speaking at a conference on economy security in Ankara on Friday, Babacan said Turkey's successes had being watched and appreciated by the world.
He said from now on Turkey was a rising donor and granted more than 2.5 billion USD in 2012 to foreign receivers and among the OECD members Turkey ranked first in terms of increase in foreign grants the most in 2011-2012.
Babacan said Turkey provided support in several fields, such as education, healthcare, and agriculture adding more than 20 countries were granted by Turkey in the last 2 years.
He said Turkey's responsibilities were getting bigger and Turkey did not say "It is none of my business" to problems anywhere in the world and extended helping hand.
On economy security, Babacan stated that increase in countries' economic dependency on each other would bring positive results to security and political stability. He said the more countries would get integrated the more regional security would enhance.
