Turkish aid agencies and army distributed hot meals and humanitarian relief to around 4,000 families in Afrin, northwestern Syria, last week, the military said on Tuesday.
In a statement, the Turkish General Staff said that humanitarian aid in Afrin, which was cleared of terrorists during Turkey’s Operation Olive Branch, was ongoing.
Turkey’s Disaster and Emergency Management Authority (AFAD) and Turkish Red Crescent cooperated with the military to distribute aid to families in Afrin, the statement added.
Turkey on Jan. 20 launched Operation Olive Branch to remove YPG/PKK and Daesh terrorists from Afrin.
On March 18, Turkish troops and Free Syrian Army members liberated the town of Afrin, on the 58th day of the operation.
