ISTANBUL
The Executive Board Chairman of Turkey's national air carrier, Turkish Airlines (THY), Hamdi Topcu said that they earned 1.1 billion Turkish liras (TL) as operating profit in the first nine months of 2012.
In an article he wrote for the Skylife magazine in January, Topcu underlined that they carried close to 40 million passengers in 2012 and that the number of passengers carried by the THY was up 20 percent when compared to 2011.
