Turkish Deputy Prime Minister Besir Atalay said on Friday that the Turkish Cypriots need not be in a feeling of loneliness and be concerned about their future.
There is a great Turkey here. You should not be concerned about the future as long as you have confidence in Turkey, Atalay said.
Prime Minister of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) Irsen Kucuk met with Besir Atalay in his office in Lefkosa.
Speaking to reporters while meeting Atalay, Prime Minister Kucuk said that he was pleased to see Atalay in their country.
Such visits by Turkish officials contribute to the development of relations, Kucuk noted.
Turkey provides us support for the implementation of our budget. We are grateful to Turkey for their support and assistance. The economic program in the TRNC is being implemented as planned, Kucuk stressed.
Atalay, in his part, said that the new 3 year program will be the program of the TRNC.
We will provide consultancy services to the TRNC, Atalay stated.
Touching on the project of carrying potable water from Turkey to the TRNC, Atalay underlined that this project was a crucial one for the Turkish Cypriots.
On works conducted for the exploration of oil and natural gas in the TRNC, Atalay stressed that the latest system was erected in the TRNC for the exploration of oil and natural gas.
The continuation of political and economic stability in the TRNC is highly important for Turkey, Atalay also said.
Earlier in the day, Besir Atalay held talks with Turkish Cypriot President Dervis Eroglu and Parliament Speaker Hasan Bozer.
