BERLIN
Turkish Deputy Prime Minister Bulent Arinc delivered a speech on Turkey's 2023 vision in a conference sponsored by the Konrad Adenauer Foundation and the Humboldt University in Berlin.
Speaking at the conference, Bulent Arinc underlined that Turkey was a part of Europe and the European Union (EU) with its businesspeople, citizens, economy, politicians, athletes, different communities it is in touch with and its presence in various EU institutions.
"Our vision for 2023 summarizes the transformation process in Turkey in the best way and in the most concrete way," Arinc stated.
"Our aim in internal politics is democratization. We are placing solid goals for the future. As such, our vision for 2023 is not just an election rhetoric but a great historical philosophy, political philosophy and economic targets realized with solid achievements," Arinc stressed.
"A great culture of dialogue and discussions has been established in Turkey," Arinc said.
All issues that could not be debated in the past have now entered a phase of solution, Arinc underlined.
"As part of our vision for 2023, we plan to come up with a new Constitution and facilitate a political life based on the culture of consensus," Arinc said.
"Let us unite Turkey's great transformation with the EU's historic heritage after half a century," Arinc also said.
The Republic of Turkey will celebrate the 100th anniversary of its foundation in 2023.
