MOSCOW
Turkish Foreign Ministry Undersecretary Feridun Sinirlioglu discussed the Syria crisis and situation in the region with Russian Deputy Foreign Minister and Russian president's Special Envoy to Middle East Mikhail Bogdanov.
In a statement released on Friday, the Turkish Foreign Ministry said that during Sinirlioglu's two-day visit to Moscow, the Russian capital, on Thursday, he came together with Bogdanov.
The statement said that the two diplomats had exchanged views regarding the latest development in Syria as well as the other developments in the region.
The two officials met earlier in November last year in the Turkish capital, Ankara.
Russia is one of the few remaining allies of Syria while Turkey is calling for the ouster of Syria's president, Bashar al-Assad.
