ANKARA
Turkish Employment Agency (ISKUR) mostly sent Turkish workers to Iraq and Russia.
ISKUR sent 43,047 workers to several countries this year and most of them went to Iraq and Russia.
According to data by the agency, the number of workers sent abroad was 39,664 between January and October 2011 and the figure increased 8.53 percent to 43,047 in the same period of this year.
ISKUR sent 11,873 workers to Iraq, 11,039 workers to Russia, 4,099 to Turkmenistan, 2,563 workers to Saudi Arabia, 1,764 to Azerbaijan, 1,281 workers to Afghanistan, 1,081 to Germany and 942 workers to Kazakhstan in the first ten months of 2012.
