Turkish FM discussed Syria crisis with counterparts
Davutoglu discussed the latest developments and situation in Syria with his US, British, German, French, Jordanian, Egyptian, Qatari, Saudi Arabian, and UAE counterparts.NEW YORK
Turkish Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu held a meeting with his counterparts in New York via teleconference.
The foreign ministers also discussed prospective political steps to be taken as well as possible future meetings including ones with the Friends of the Syrian People group.
Davutoglu also held a separate telephone conversation with his Egyptian counterpart.
The Turkish foreign minister is expected to have a very busy schedule as part of the United Nations General Assembly meetings. He is set to begin next Monday holding several bilateral and multilateral meetings.
Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan has cancelled his trip to New York where he was expected to participate in the opening of the UN General Assembly.
