CAIRO
Turkish Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu on Wednesday held a series of talks with foreign representatives participating in a summit meeting of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, or OIC, in Cairo, Egypt.
Turkish diplomatic sources said Davutoglu met with Belkacem Sahli, Algerian secretary of state to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for the National Community Abroad.
In his meeting with Sahli, Davutoglu underlined that Turkey and Algeria stood in full solidarity and cooperation against terrorism as the Algerian secretary expressed sadness over a suicide bomb attack on the US Embassy in Ankara, the Turkish capital.
Separately, Davutoglu attended a working breakfast with his Azeri, Kyrgyz and Kazakh counterparts, discussing ways to protect common cultural heritage.
Davutoglu also met with his Egyptian counterpart Mohammad Amr Kamel as well as with Pakistani Foreign Minister Hina Rabbani Khar.
Davutoglu and Khar discussed latest developments in Afghanistan.
